HABITAT RESTORATION & TRAIL MAINTENANCE
We love partnering with local organizations, companies, and groups for volunteer parties! Give back by removing invasive species, planting natives, and conducting other habitat restoration or trail maintenance work. If your community organization, church group, scout troop, service club, or company is looking for a fun, active volunteer opportunity, please contact us to learn more about our current project needs.

Also, the San Dieguito River Park rangers host monthly work parties for habitat restoration and trail maintenance projects.

Getting dirty and sweaty in the brush has never been so much fun. Our volunteer habitat restoration events provide a perfect pairing of hard work, having fun and learning about the value of native plants while understanding the harm caused by nonnative, invasive ones.
Habitat restoration projects exemplify the strong partnerships we foster with public agencies, fellow nonprofit groups and forward-thinking businesses that contact us to arrange for work parties in the field.

COMMUNITY SCIENCE MONITORING PROGRAM
The Conservancy is recruiting volunteers to help implement the San Dieguito Citizen Science Monitoring Program. Join our community scientists to collect valuable plant and animal data in the River Park Whether you are available for one time only or would like to make a longer-term commitment, we are eager to tap your skills. Join us on expert-led surveys, review wildlife camera photos in your home, add your personal observations to our iNaturalist project, or assist with educational events.
EVENT VOLUNTEERS
We need volunteers throughout the year to help us with various educational and outreach events, including our annual River Valley Fest and Valley Vibes fundraisers.
