Del Dios Highlands to North Shore Lake Hodges Trail

The Conservancy is working with the River Park to not only complete the Coast-to-Crest Trail but also to provide key connections between adjacent trail systems to the north and south. These connections provide public access and beautiful views, as well as vital corridors for wildlife to move between large areas of preserved open space.

The Conservancy recently received a grant to complete a preliminary design study for a 0.65-mile trail linking Del Dios Highlands Preserve to the River Park’s North Shore Trail. The proposed trail will connect the existing 17-mile segment of the Coast-to-Crest Trail along Lake Hodges to another 13 miles of multi-use trails in the 750-acre Elfin Forest Recreational Reserve.
