CONSERVANCY BOARD OF DIRECTORS

The Conservancy is governed by a 15-member Board of Directors. Under the By-laws Directors are elected by the Board with terms of office limited to two three-year periods. The Board of Directors elects officers including: President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer. Board work is conducted through a series of committees with Conservancy member participation.

Tom Golich President
Solana Beach resident.  Former Councilmember, City of Solana Beach, and former Chair
of the San Dieguito River Park Joint Powers Authority

Bill Proffer Vice President & Publicity Committee Chair
Lake Hodges resident. Manager, SAIC Corporation

Kimberly Heller Corporate Secretary & Membership Chair
Del Mar resident.  Volunteer with a number of community organizations

Al Tarkington Treasurer
Del Mar resident.  Owner of a North County accounting firm, and former Mayor and
Councilmember of the City of Del Mar

Carol Angus  Education Committee Chair
Ramona resident.  Former member of the Ramona Planning Group

Charlotte Bassett 
Escondido resident. Retired from government service with over 20 years experience

Rick Halsey
Escondido resident.  President of the California Chaparral Institute, researcher, lecturer and educator

Anne Harvey
Carmel Valley resident.  Member of the Carmel Valley Planning Group and landscape architect

Tony Joseph, Judge Ret.
Del Mar resident.  Ret. Superior Court Judge and former Conservancy President

Chris Khoury, M.D. Acquisitions and Trails Committee Chair
